Villa Arvedi
Timeless success story
In a dominant position over the Valpantena, in Cuzzano di Grezzana, stands the most imposing and sumptuous of the stately villas in the valley, Villa Arvedi, the largest Venetian villa in the province of Verona, included in the list of the Great Italian Gardens. Originally belonging to the Dal Verme family, in the mid-1400s the property passed to the Allegri family who, around 1650, commissioned the architect Giovanni Battista Bianchi to design the expansion and renovation. In 1824 the Villa was purchased by the Arvedi family who maintained its agricultural vocation, with the production of grapes and oil which still continues today.
Villa Arvedi remains the property of the family, which makes the villa available to the public by offering guided tours and hosting cultural and private events, meetings and weddings. The villa has large halls and smaller rooms, a veranda and an extraordinary Italian garden which tell a centuries-old story, convey strong emotions and represent the ideal backdrop for videos and souvenir photos. The Villa is also home to an agricultural company that produces extra virgin olive oil from the 3,500 owned olive trees, with olives harvested by hand and processed in the ancient house press.
