Agriturismo Locanda Case Vecie
The vineyard and the inn where you can experience nature
The Cesari family is committed to valorising a rich and heterogeneous viticultural heritage and wanted to create in Valpantena a vineyard environment immersed in an altitude ecosystem, which exceeds 450 metres.
Abandoned after the war and reconquered by the forest, the area returned to cultivation at the end of the 1990s. The rows alternate with large areas of pasture, cultivated fields, chestnut groves and wooded areas rich in truffles, which dominate unchallenged a landscape of rare beauty and biodiversity.
The sixty-five hectares of Case Vecie, of which nine are under vineyards, are divided into two areas: the colluvi, with full southern exposure and silty-sandy soils, rich in organic substance, planted mainly in Corvina; the ridges, which get the sun from morning to sunset and have poorer, pebbly soils, which push the vine to sink its roots into the tuff, are home to Corvinone.
Case Vecie has become the company's flagship cru: Amarone Case Vecie, together with Valpolicella Superiore Case Vecie.
The farmhouse at the entrance to the property saw the light in summer 2023, becoming the Agriturismo Locanda Case Vecie, the company's first hospitality project.
A place of refreshment, with accommodation, for lovers of walking, sports such as mountain biking and horse riding, but also a place not too far from the city designed to organize tastings and events.
The agritourism offer includes, in addition to wine, extra virgin olive oil and Brigaldara truffles, as well as products selected from the best farms in the Veneto.
