The area around Verona is among the favourite golf destinations in Italy, chosen by tourists from all over the world, also thanks to the mild climate all year round and the presence of championship courses which have hosted several time the Open d'Italia, the most prestigious professional event in our country and one of the most important in Europe.
The numerous golf courses in the area guarantee players of all levels, beginners or experts, a wide choice with the possibility of admiring the beauty of enchanting places and breathtaking views of Lake Garda. In Verona, the historic Golf Verona (18 holes) is based in Sommacampagna, but other courses have sprung up nearby, a few minutes by car: Le Vigne (18 holes) in Villafranca, Paradiso del Garda (18 holes) in Peschiera, Chervò Golf Resort (36 holes of which 27 are championship holes, 9 executive) near Sirmione, Colli Berici (18 holes) in Montecchio Maggiore, Ca' degli Ulivi (27 holes) in Marchiaga and the prestigious Gardagolf (27 holes ) in Soiano, Arzaga (27 holes) in Cavagese. In addition there are numerous driving ranges. Verona has also hosted for years, in the pavilions of the Fair, the Italian Golf Show, the main trade fair event in the sector.
Valpantena is centrally located in this area from which all the peer courses can be easily reached and where it is possible to train or approach this sport on the simple but spectacular driving range, aggregated to the Italian Golf Federation, of Villa Ca' Vendri in Quinto di Valpantena . Along one side of the imposing 300-metre avenue of cypress trees that leads to the sixteenth-century villa, there is a large driving range (6 positions, one of which is covered), the pitching green and the artificial putting green.
